In 1970, Butler Trucking began long haul transportation of produce and became incorporated. In the mid 1980’s the focus was turned to local trucking, concentrating around the ready-mix industry operations in the Georgetown and Horry counties. By the 1990’s Butler Trucking had added dry bulk tank transportation of fly ash and cement to ready mix plants. This tanker transportation grew to include petroleum coke and bauxite ore by the 2000’s. More diversification in the twenty-first century has seen Butler Trucking not only withstand the increased financial squeeze of the times but increase in the size and scope of their operations.
Butler Trucking has experienced exceptional growth due to their ability to adapt to the needs of their customers. Butler Trucking now provides material purchasing, material excavation, processing, and screening to go along with their transportation services.
